My Experience and Progress in Producing some Essays in Writing 2
Imagine
you have to go to your class on the 4th floor by using stairs while you are
fasting. How does it feel ? This is one of the most memorable experiences when
I take Writing 2 class with Mrs. Lina in this short semester. I can say that my
experiences and progress in writing 2 class are troublesome and challenging.
At
the first meeting, she asked each of us to give opinions about our own efforts
in order to get score A for Writing 2 class. While we were doing the activity,
I saw several friends passed along the corridor. Some of them waved their hand
to us. I knew that their class has already ended earlier because it was the
first meeting. I was quite jealous of them. For the last 20 minutes, she asked
us to make an outline for our first essay. After that she asked us to do the
peer review. I was lazy to do that because the time was almost 16.00 pm.
The
next day, she asked all of us to do group review and filled the rubrics. This
activity was boring and exhausting. In the middle of the class, I had to copy
my essay. I went to the 1st floor by using stairs because the elevator did not
work. This was tiring; moreover, it was fasting day and we studied at 13.20, a
critical time for anyone who is fasting.
On
the third day, Mrs.Lina asked us to discuss about discussion essay. She showed
us several essays that were written by other students. Those were good and
well-constructed. At the end of the meeting, she asked us to make outline for
the discussion essay. I was confused in choosing good topic. Finally, I chose
topic about TRANS Padang because it is my daily transportation. At night, after
doing tarawih, I went to the internet cafe next to my home to search the
references about my topic. At 22.30, I came back home because I was very
sleepy, although I had not finished my job yet. I would continue it tomorrow.
On
the fourth day, I forgot that I had not printed my references yet. I had to go
down stairs because the electricity was off. Moreover, I had to find the
internet cafe that could able print my references. It was so hard because the
electricity was off. That day, Mrs. Lina
did not come but we still had to collect the essay. Still, we had to filled the
rubrics again. It was so boring. That day I forgot to bring my laptop. I felt
so happy when Ayu lent me hers. Finally at 17.00, my essay was finished and I
could go home happily.
On
the sixth day, Mrs. Lina came and gave our essay back. I got C for my first
essay and B for my second essay. She said that we have to do more correction on
our essay and improve them again. I was bored to do the same thing again and
again.
Deep
in my heart, I was bored do the same things everyday. I have never imagined
that taking Writing 2 in this short semester will be this hard. My struggle is even heavier because I take this class when
we are all fasting. Besides, several things also make the experience even
harder. In summary, studying Writing 2 in this short semester is complicated and difficult.

TRANS Padang, The New Face of Padang Public Transportation : Are We Ready for This ?
TRANS Padang is the newest public transportation in Padang which is officially introduced on 13 February 2014 by Dirjen Bina Sistem Transportasi Perkotaan, Rasman Ginting and Walikota Padang, Fauzy Bahar. TRANS Padang will replace the use of bus that is claimed as the sollution of a number of traffic problems in Padang. TRANS Padang, which is equipped with air conditioner, has 40 capacities of passengers, which 20 passengers sit and 20 passengers stand. As the early stage, there will be 10 units of TRANS Padang that will be used to serve passengers for the route all along 18 Km from Lubuk Buaya to Pasar Raya Padang. According to the Dinas Perhubungan Dan Transportasi the replacement of the bus to TRANS Padang will bring good impacts. Otherwise, there are two perspectives about this policy which one supports whether other refuses with their own reasons and facts.
For those who support the use of Trans Padang as the new public transportation state that the use of bus is not suitable anymore for Padang city. Most of the bus are too old and not in good condition. These makes the passengers feel not safe and uncomfortable. TRANS Padang will be the solution of those problem because it is equipped with several convenient facilities such as air conditioner and priority seats.
Moreover, many accidents that are caused by the bus driver become the reason to support the use of TRANS Padang. Based of factual data, most of the bus drivers drive too fast. They run against time to chatch the target and often do not obey the traffic signs. As the result, accident often happens and endangers the passengers.
Furthermore, the people who are pro say that this policy will teach us to be more dicipline. In this case, TRANS Padang prepares special bus stops in particular distance all along the route. TRANS Padang only takes and drops the passenger in the bus stop. This will teach us to follow the rules.
On the other hand, those who refuse this policy are the drivers of the bus which lose their job since TRANS Padang is introduced. According to the Dinas Perhubungan dan Transportasi, there are 23 buses that cannot be operated again since then. As the result, the drivers have to find new job. This may cause another problems.
Moreover, most of the passengers who reject this policy say that the amount of TRANS Padang itself is not enough to supply the need of passengers. According to the new Walikota Padang, Mahyeldi Ansharullah, 10 units of TRANS Padang that are used now are not sufficient. Most of passengers complain because they need longer time to wait. As a result, they will be late to reach the destination and may be late for work.
In addition, most of the passengers also complain about the fee that is higher than usual. TRANS Padang determines that the fee for adult is Rp. 3500, Rp. 500 higher than usual whether the fee for student is Rp. 1500, also Rp. 500 higher than usual. Most of the passengers expect a cheaper public transportation than before but the truth makes them quite disappointed.
As a conclusion, TRANS Padang can be said as a new face of Padang public transportation. At the beginning of its appearance, this policy raises two point of views when one view supports whether another refuses. Some people who refuses claim that TRANS Padang has higher fee than others public transportation. Beside that, the amount of TRANS Padang itself cannot supply the needs of all passanger. Moreover, the replacement of bus to TRANS Padang may cause another problem that the drivers of bus will lose their job. On the other side, this policy has a good impact for environment. TRANS Padang which is designed as good as possible will make the passenger safer and more comfortable. The usage of TRANS Padang also teach us to be neat, clear and more dicipline. In addition to these, the number of accident may decrease. So, the use of TRANS Padang brings good impact and we have to support this although there are still many improvements that have to be done in order to serve a comfortable public transportation service

My Weaknesses and Strengths in Writing 2
Writing 2 is one of the obligatory subjects in the English Department of State University of Padang. As an English Department student of this university, I have taken this subject on the third semester but I got C at that time. In this short semester, I retake it. Based on my experience, I have several weaknesses and strengths in Writing.
I have several weaknesses in Writing 2. The first weakness that I am lack of vocabulary. I often repeat the same word. It makes my essay become monotone. The second weakness is that I have difficulty in tranforming ideas on my mind into written form. I often get inspiration or ideas when I see something or someone or when I go somewhere. When I want to restate the ideas into written form, I feel confused how to start. The third weakness that I have is that I feel confused how to correlate one sentence with another sentences. It makes my essay often does not have a good correlation.
On the other hand, I also have several strengths in Writing 2. The first strength is that I am have a strong desire to improve my writing skill. I have made a wholehearted commitment about it. I am confident that if I use all of my ability and competence to do this, I will be able to achieve my goal. The second strengths is that I love writing. I usually write my daily activities in my personal diary but sometimes it tends to be in random order. Eventhough this habit is very simple but it is very helpful. The third strengths that I have is that I am sensitive to the recent issues. I usually watch TV and browse internet to get information. These activities can help me to enrich my ideas for my writing work.
In conclusion, I have a number of weaknesses and strengths in Writing 2. Although I have weaknesses, I will try to decrease them. Beside that, I will also try to gain my strengths in order to get score A in Writing 2. I am sure that if I do some effort, I will be able to get the best score at the the end of this semester.
The Efforts I Will Do to Achieve Score A in Writing 2
Writing 2 is one of the obligatory subjects in the English Department of the State University of Padang. As a English Department student of this University, I have taken this subject on my third semester but I got C at that time. In this short semester, I retake it. I think this subject should be easier for me because I have experienced on this before. I will learn from my mistake and do the best. In order to achieve score A in Writing 2 I will do some efforts. I am sure that if I do those effort, I will be able to reach the best score for this subject.
The first effort that I will do is making commitment to myself. I will be more serious and more focus on the process. I am sure that if I study hard then I will have the best result at the end. To prove my commitment, I will arrange a good time management. As long as I can, I will attend the class on time. Beside that, I also will do all of the assignment wholeheartedly.
The second effort that I will do is reading more to enrich my ideas in writing. Actually, I love reading books. Reading books is allowed me to get more ideas for my writing work. Beside that, I am also interested on the recent issues in the world. I often watching TV to watch news. Those activities are very helpful to find ideas, inspiration and references for my writing work.
Discussing with others is the third effort that I will do. Do discussing with friends can expand our knowledge about the topic mentioned. Moreover, we also can see the others’ point of view about those topics. Discussing can help me to develop the ideas into a good essay.
The fourth effort that I will do is doing the review. I will ask other friends to give correction about my writing work. By doing this, I can get more inputs and opinions from them. Furthermore, it will help to improve my writing work.
In conclusion, I have number of efforts that I will do in order to achieve score A in Writing 2. By making commitment to myself, reading more, discussing with friends and doing the review, I hope I will pass this subject and get score A
