This film is starred by Angelina Jolie as Sarah Jordan, an American woman who is married to Henry Bauford ( Linus Roache ), the son of an extremely wealthy British industrialist, and Clive Owen as Dr. Nick Callahan, a man committed to help those struggling in such war-torn nations as Ethiopia, Cambodia and Chechnya.
On night, she meets Dr. Nick Callahan on a a fund-raising event at a London hotel informing the shocked onlookers just how little of their donated money is going to those its intended for. Sarah decides to head to Ethiopia, accompanying a shipment of food and medicine she has paid for. There, she meets Nick again. First the meet, Nick assumes that Sarah is a rich women that joining the team just for popularity. At the time passed, he knows about the concerning of Sarah. And they starting have a crush in their heart.
After she leaves Ethiopia back to London, Sarah tries to do more by joining UN. When she comes back to London, she also finds herself can not forget Callahan or the poverty she has seen, and heads back to find him at Cambodia leaving her crumbling marriage with Bauford that have a son with, Jimmy. Predictible, Nick and Sarah are ini love at the ends. When she cames back to London, Sarah tries to look for Nick again. Sarah dies after looking for Nick in Chechnya. She leaves a little girl to Nick, Anna.

According to me, this is movie is one of the best movie because it tells us about the real condition in the poor countries. They are starving and need us to help. The story tell us about humanity. At the fund-raising event, we see how the people enjoying the party, spending money, laughing together, they do not know how needs people around them, this is shown by “a banana” that is thrown to them. They do not realized how little that the money they donated is going to the people who are really need. They do not care about the fact and Sarah I shocked by the truth see has just seen.
In Ethiopia, we see how the government do not care about their citizens. I feel sad, when I see a bird wants to eat a kid in the desert and another people can not do something to help him because they have the same condition, too. Also when the people hurt each other to get a little food on the bus. They are competiting each other just for a little food. The most grievous situation is when the irresponsible and uncaring people exploiting the bad situation to send weapons to war-torn nations. They carry food and medicine and add weapons to its containers.
The pictures of this movie are so amazing. The pictures tell us more than the sound we have seen. They are so real and so inspiring. But their kissing scenes, they are so disturbing to me. Because they are a hot ones and look like a porn movie. I like the character of Sarah that fight for poverty, helping people and for her spirit in looking for true love. I also like the ending of this movie because, at the end she looks like a hero for struggling and her true love.
Watch this movie, you will find the truth of poverty around us…!!!
