Palembang, An Exciting City to Be Visited

Palembang is an exciting city to be visited. It has many tourism objects, such as Musi river, Ampera bridge and Kemarau island. Musi river is located in the center of the city. It is a very long and deep river. On the river, there is Ampera bridge. Musi river and Ampera bridge are the proud of the city. The bridge was built by the Dutch and it is a historical place from colonization era. Behind the river, you can find many cafes and restaurant easily. You can find them on the water too, they are called as “kafe terapung”. You can try many kinds of local foods there, such as empek-empek, tekwan and pindang. At night, these places look nicer because there are many lamps that sparkling all night. These places looks bright and has a romantic sensation.

If you want to wade the river, you can rent a boat. The people who live near the river rent the boats with cheap cost. It is about 10.000 rupiahs for everyone. About 5 miles from Ampera Bridge, you will find Kemarau Island. Kemarau Island is a small island that is located in the center of river. In this island, there is a vihara, it is known as Vihara Dewi Kwan In. Buddish come to this island for praying. Not only the Buddist, but also the other people that have different religion, come to this island too. They come for spending holiday or enjoying Chinese foods. Because this island is the center of many kinds of Chinese foods in Palembang.

In the river sides, you can see many factories like Pupuk Sriwijaya factory. It produces many kinds of manure. This factory is one of the most famous factories in Indonesia. On the water, you can find gas stations for your boats, many cafes and a small hospital if you feel not well. They all are look like ships. They are so unique.

Many people think that Palembang is a dangerous place to be visited. Actually, it is not that danger, it looks like another cities. Take care yourself and enjoy the different sensasion that Palembang city offer.

Surfing In Internet

I really enjoy my free time. I spend my free time by doing some activities such as listening music, watching movies, surfing in internet and reading. However, my most favorite activity is surfing in internet. Why? Because, by surfing in internet, I can do many things, such as, getting new friends and finding old friends by chatting. In fact, I often meet my close friends when I studied at school and we haven’t met each other again, but now I can meet them just by chatting. Besides, other activities that I like to do in internet is downloading new songs from my favorite singers and finding new information by browsing some websites. I often do it at night in my room but sometimes I bring my laptop to campus and look for the hotspot there or go to internet café.

I really enjoy this activity because I can get the latest news and get everything that I want from everywhere around the world, whenever I want just by clicking. If I get something new, I’ll retype it with my own style and add my opinions and rewrite it in my personal blog. Sometimes, I write my true stories, my hope, my sadness, my happiness and anything else there. It’s just like a diary, in online way of course.
